Shipping and customs fees

Dar el Djazair ships its products from Algeria to France, the rest of Europe and worldwide. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout, based on the destination country, the delivery method you choose and the weight of your order.

⚠ IMPORTANT – Customs fees with DHL express delivery

With DHL express delivery, customs duties and import taxes (duties, VAT…) are payable by the recipient. They are set by the authorities of the destination country and we cannot know them in advance: they are therefore not included in the product prices or in the shipping costs. DHL will ask you to pay them before or at delivery.

If you refuse to pay these fees, the parcel is destroyed by the carrier. No refund will be made, neither for the products nor for the shipping costs.

Order preparation

Orders are prepared within 1 to 3 business days after payment is confirmed. You then receive a shipping confirmation email.

Our delivery methods

Standard home delivery – France and Europe

Your parcel is carried from Algeria by our carrier, then handed over to the postal service of the destination country (Colissimo in France), which delivers it to your home.
Delivery time: 10 to 15 business days.

Pick-up point delivery – France and some European countries

Same journey from Algeria, then delivery to the Mondial Relay pick-up point of your choice. This is the most affordable option.
Delivery time: 10 to 15 business days.

These two options are ideal if you are not in a hurry. We do our best to make sure your parcel arrives within 15 business days at most. In rare cases (customs checks, holiday periods, peak times), delivery can take up to 20 business days.

DHL express delivery – France, Europe and worldwide

Your parcel is handled by DHL from Algeria right to your door. This is the fastest option (2 to 5 business days), and the only one available outside Europe. Customs fees are payable on delivery (see the box above).

Products that cannot be sent by express

Some products cannot be shipped with DHL Express, in particular liquids and dairy products. If your order contains any of them, please choose standard or pick-up point delivery (in Europe, pick-up points are available in Belgium, Spain, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Portugal). If DHL express is selected anyway, we will contact you to change the delivery method. Outside Europe, these products therefore cannot be delivered.
